Need a lawyer? He runs his law firm out of his Lincoln and is ready to hit the gas. He moves around Los Angeles taking on cases while also juggling a personal life that includes fatherhood and two ex-wives.

Originally scheduled for a series commitment in 2020 by CBS, it was canceled due to COVID shortly before the first episode began filming. . California allows personalized plates with a maximum of seven letters/numbers, but Mickey’s plates have a minimum of eight.

The Lincoln Lawyer was actually better than I expected. I’ve never read the books it was based on, but I did watch the Matthew McConaughey movie and thought it was pretty good, but it’s not worth making a series about. I really expected this to be a low budget rip off.

You couldn’t have been more wrong

I actually enjoyed it more than the movie. I wasn’t going to watch it until I saw all the great reviews and realized it was one of the most watched shows of the year for Netflix. Manuel Garcia-Rulfo does a good job as the lead and Becky Newton, Neve Campbell, Angus Sampson and others all do a fantastic job in the supporting roles.

While it’s not the best legal show you’ll ever see, it’s definitely worth watching
