11 year old Alfonso, heir to Don Quixote, and his 3 imaginary and musical rabbits join Pancho and Victoria to save their beloved city of La Mancha from a massive storm. References E.T. (1982) Just saw this in the theater. Wow, it’s bad. There’s a fart joke or something like that every few minutes. For some reason, there’s a mime in the last few scenes, for no reason other than a cheap laugh. No one laughed. Seriously, maybe one in eight gags got a reaction from the audience, even though they were mostly kids. The animation was mediocre at best. The main character, Alfonso, in particular, looked cheap, like they bought a model from some animation library. The script and story lacked any sensitivity. Some scenes just didn’t make any sense. The imaginary characters could have played an important role in the movie, but they were just weird side plots. There are so many better kids movies out there.
